swordlord adaptive tactic
does the buff to ac plus attack roll trigger enough times to make worthwile to take 4 lvls of swordlord?

My "Baron" is a swordlord; his damage and crits are great, but his ac is 20 below Valerie's 55. Course, he is wearing a shirt. If he gets a charging crit on a mage he can sometimes kill them right then and there. Worth it, but he feels a bit like very nice light cavalry (buffed his speed a bit via items). Swordlords are great for picking off those up the back, winning "duels" when a foe is distracted, or as second rank fighters (better than Jaethal improved with massive strength and buffs). Let others take most of the damage if you can.

Depends on what on you want...
Swordlord seems to be more of a 1v1 debuffer than anything, with its persuasion checks and clear synergy with Dazzling display tree, its defense will have to come Combat Expertise + Fighting Defensively but assuming you started with Aldori Defender and took 7 levels the penalty should be mitigated to around -2

Personally i prefer the Duelist for damage and AC with crit synergy

my question was about adaptive tactics and how many times it triggers since its a roll.

What you mean... "How many times does it trigger"? It doesn't stack with itself, it keeps checking conditions and refreshing much like fighting defensively, if any point you change target you lose the +2 until you attack the same target in 2 consecutive rounds

No bonus stacks with itself except dodge, so no you're not getting an exponential bonus

maybe i have failed twice to properly articulate my question so i would try again
-adaptive tactics trigger on a succesful roll against a mob,how much possible is this to happen?(not asking if it stacks, nor generall info about the swordlord JESUS CHRIST).

Ah you're talking about the Perception check... you know it helps if you actually narrow it down to which part of that ability's paragraph you are refering to.

It should be one per opponent ( but someone confirm this, in case Owlcat decided to poorly implement that too and just made an endless roll loop every 2 rounds )
