Greater trip requires trip, combat expertise, a base attack bonus of 6, and an intelligence of 13. Unfortunately there is currently no monk archetype that lets you bypass those requirements by taking greater trip as a monk bonus feat. That means if you were wanting greater trip to be a part of your build, you'd have to take combat expertise first.
Looks different than the feat, which I think would add +2 to the CMB for Leg Sweep attempts.
The advantage of Leg Sweep is they would happen as a free action.
