Q: Magus spell combat works with Wizard spells?

I'm thinking a build that has access to 9th level spells with Arcane Trickster, but would like the benefit of spell combat (nuke + melee or bow in a round).

1 Magus or Eldritch Archer / Wizard / AT -> Wizard.

In the description for spell combat, it mentions only working with Magus spells hence I wasn't sure if its implemented correctly.

Edit: For clarification, I am referring to spell combat not spell strike. The ability to cast a spell and then do a full attack within the same round.

I think it is only magus spell list in game, you can save game edit xp to test though.

Spell Combat is tied to the spells in the Magus spell list, Wizard spell list is an entire different entity and does not factor into Magus's abilities

If im not mistaken even the Arcanas don't work for them either


So just nuke them and then cast Transformation if you want to use the weapon like a Fighter
