Curse of Candlemere - Rismel just attacks - no talking to him first
Is this a bug? I have done candlemere at least 4 times on this particular run through and each time it's the same. I get to the Tower and instead of the dialogue where I talk Rismel into helping and then Duke Dazzleflare appears, Rismel instead just attacks me with summoned wolves and the Duke never appears.

And therefore I don't get a chance to get the Cypress Queen's flute.

Is this a bug? Or did I screw up somewhere? I have finished Season of Bloom BTW and on the way back I saved before going to the throne room (where I found out that Gunderson got tired and left), so I didn't go to the throne room and instead headed straight to Candlemere to do that quest. Is this the reason why Rismel attacks me (failed Gunderson quest)?

I don't want to have to restart my game yet again because I missed something. I already missed out on Jubilost joining and will have to use Batholomew as Treasurer.

All you get for that item is some gold and xp(for the set). Idk though, you may have done candlemere too late. No need to restart though

The only reason i can think of is that you didn't find all the clues around the map.

I think there is 2 or 3 letters and a dead body of a Paladin.

Edit: Or a time limit to do it...

Thanks. I went back to a previous save (right before talking with Rismel after I had cleared the area) and discovered that I had missed the note in the boat on this playthrough. Grabbed it and then went to see Rismel. He still attacked me. So I think I may have done it too late.

Oh well, if all I miss out on is some gold and XP I'll live with that. Not going through Season of Bloom again just for that.

Ya, there are always other playthroughs. The game has a lot of stuff, and your pretty much always going to miss something.
