Game would not launch, keeps re-installing
Played through a good portion of the game last year and took a break, and decided to pick up again where I left off. Game would not launch, either it kept re-installing or I get the "missing executable: Pathfinder.exe". I've tried everything from uninstalling and re-downloading the game, re-installing steam, re-installing the game on a different drive, going through properties and repairing the game files, and the game still keeps re-installing everytime I try to launch it. I've looked around the net and have no more idea what else I can try, anyone know any solutions?

Did you at any point move your steam games to another directory? Look under steam settings and make sure default install location is the same location you are looking at physically on the drive. It could be installing the another directory.

Have you try to simply load the game with the Kingmaker.exe and not with steam launcher?
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Pathfinder Kingmaker

The default installation folder hasn't changed. And that's the problem, no matter how many times I update or reinstall the game, the Pathfinder.exe is NOT in the game folder. I've already tried verifiying/repairing the game files, the .exe does not show up ever.

I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling one more time and specifically specified the default steamapps folder. When it's done, I try opening the source folder and get an error that I needed to be connected to a network to access it or somesuch. I try restarting my computer and steam, the game begins reinstalling once again, I search my whole computer and there's no sign of any game folder. I am at my wits end, can someone help me out here?

I have had a similar issue - Like Mork I had played last year, took some time off and recently decided to jump back in - Though I don't get an error the game simply does not launch - I get a quick pop up window with a process bar that goes about a quarter of the way across very quickly then closes and thats is - I to have validated files, reinstalled, there has been no change in location of files but I simply can not get the game to start

It's most likely the exclusive fullscreen bug. You probably just need to change it to borderless fullscreen.

Look if you can update your GPU driver first

And since you can't reach the main menu of the game to change the fullscreen setting, try this >>

1) press win+r
2) type regedit
3) go to
HKEY_CURRENTUSER\Software\Owlcat Games\Pathfinder Kingmaker
4) Open the Kingmaker.FullscreenMode* line
5) Change "1" to "3" there

(this method will set it to window mode, so you might want to change it to Fullscreen borderless once in the game.)

Personally, i'm using GeForce experience to change the graphic setting to 'borderless fullscreen'.
