Whip as a weapon?
I just realize that there is no whip-type weapon in the game, why??? I really want to build my character as whip-wielder vampire/heretic hunter though. (sip sip)

Buffy never ever used a whip to hunt vampires, I know it would be hot, but rather weird too, vampires can only laugh when seeing a whip as they don't have blood. So from what comes this whip wish? I don't remind Van Helsing using a whip either.

Sadly, whips suck in Pathfinder/D&D when it comes to dealing damage (1d3 damage and does no damage to anything with Armor bonus of +1 or higher or Natural Armor bonus of +3 of higher). They're only really useful for things like tripping or disarming.

The Whip Mastery feat line makes whips and scorpion whips quite scary weapons. In fact, while they are hardly the highest damage obviously, they are terrifyingly good at tripping, AoO's, disarming and even grappling. A competently built whip wielder can lock down an entire 30ft diameter sphere centered on them.
