Can't beat Lost Sister, in Hilltop pt.2
U guys probably beat the game long ago; meanwhile I still can't beat Lost Sister. I tried multiple times. As soon as she appears, she and her new beasts kill all members of my party. Advice plz? I tried various scrolls and potions but I don't uderstand which scrolls counter her stupid spells. So far, none of the scrolls & potions helped enough to beat her.

Should I start over and do something differently from the start? Perhaps follow some sort of guide?

At the moment when time comes for the Hilltop pt.2 quest, my characters are level 8. Is that not high enough level? What level is required for this mission? I tried to basicly kill every moving thing all the time to get as much XP as possible :3

P.S. I have a large warhammer made of cold iron, literally makes no difference in battle

Hmm trying to remember the fight... Lvl 8 seems fine and I definitely don't think you need to restart the game for it. You are probably just missing some critical detail you need to address to make the fight much easier... What spells is she using? If there is alot of poison, Delay Poison Communal will make your whole party immune to poison for example... Tell us more about the fight and I'm sure we can figure how to beat it.

She shouldn't be too difficult, the most annoying spell she casts is the Blinding Beauty one, which can mess up your party if no one has Blind-Fight. There are three waves of, "animals," in that fight:
  • The Quickboar and Treant Bear
  • Two Venomwolves (who spawn after the first wave is dead)
  • The Sister and the Smilodon Treant (who spawn after one of the wolves dies)

If you want an easier time after you kill the first wave, pull off most of your party to where the Sister spawns in and have them stop fighting while the rest of your party kills one of the wolves. Once she spawns in, you should have a bunch of characters near her spawn point who can act instantly. They should be able to kill her before she can get a spell off and the rest of the fight should be straightforward.

Spells like Mirror Image, Haste and Displacement/Greater Invisibility, Barkskin and Shield of Faith on as many characters as possible should make the fight a cakewalk.

seems that she uses concealment and blinding. so how to prevent blin dness?

You can use Dispel to remove any buffs on her, including concealment. Regarding Blindness, only Blind Fight feat (I recommend you get this feat for at least all you melees, it will be very useful for late game enemies)can make you immune to that which you probably can't get at the moment. At the moment you best bet to counter blindness is to have high Fortitutde Saving Throws. There should be a number of spells and abilities that help you buff up that stat... Also, of course prioritising on killing her as fast as possible like Wendigo suggested is a thing.

Normally at level 8 the fight is doable but the part 2 was the hardest one for me. The first two waves are easy but the lost sister + smilodon was the one is was wiped a lot of time.
As said before use every spell that increase your saves rolls (bless, heroism,...). Haste is a great help.
True strike can be helpful too even if your heroes are blinded.

You have two choices either your are focusing the smilodon or the lost sister and put one of your melee to tank the other one. As said by other I think focusing the sister is the better choice.

Using animate dead is useful too to flank ennemies quicly.

Zoo strat (mass summon, animate dead,etc...) is so strong early. I used that strat nearly every big fight and it works wonderful (I am on challenging level to precise). After a certain point your heroes are so powerful that it is no required anymore but try to use that strat.
Animate dead especially is pretty strong early.

Take teamwork feats for your characters especially the melee one (outflank, precise shot, etc...) which are incredibly powerful during big fights.

Another option is to draw the treant and boar to the bottom of the map, there's a cliff over which characters won't see the nymph. All summons will run there after you and you will only have smilodon and a couple of summoned jaguars to take care of when the nymph appears and starts casting. If you don't see her - you don't go blind.

After that spend as much time as you like playing penyata with the nymph. She's almost harmless when alone.

If you pull the enemies down to the bottom and invis yourself after you kill them the next wave wont see you and you can heal/rest/save/lleave/whatever you want. They spawn fast so you need to swap dps targets early and have very reliable fast DPS for this strat though. This is how I did every hilltop but 1 of them IIRC

I even did a hilltop as a dog with this strat lol

Might be a bug, but the fey was still blinding all my guys who had blind fight. Did this fight last night and was quite surprised why it was taking so long, when I noticed my entire party was blind heh. We still beat her, but took forever to whittle her down. I am guessing she also had a higher AC than she should have due to that natural armor bug. Don't know if it's still there, but I do run into the occasional insanely statted monster (Bokken and his 46AC for example was super annoying to defeat), but if this is the case it might explain why he was having so much difficulty.

If anyone else is having trouble with this, the best thing to do is take out the monsters first and leave the lost sister until the end. She seems to have an insanely high AC, but does relatively low damage, so while you're wasting time on her, the monsters are giving you a good hiding. If you take the monsters out first, they can be dispatched pretty quickly then just focus everything you have on her.

I usually do the opposite. Fey are vulnerable to Linzi’s Sonic spells and Beasts to her Fascinate. I focus her down with Freebooter’s Bane/Bond, Inspire Courage, Good Hope buffing my team and Dirge of Doom and Archon’s Aura debuffing the bad guys.

If the game feels too hard the answer probably involves using your Bard to her full potential.

Blindfight doesn’t prevent Blindness, it just lessens the penalties. It does prevent gaze attacks from Fey, though I’m not sure if her ability counts as a Gaze Attack.

How is it borked? The duration on Communal is the only thing different isn't it?

If it were supposed to be Immunity, it should say Immunity. And Immunity shouldn’t be available at lvl 2. People will tell you different things about PnP, but it doesn’t fit with other similar spells and effects in-game.

Even Sirocco you’ve got to keep your own guys out of the area. Trivial games are boring games are bad games. You don’t have to wait for the devs to make that call yourself.

Oh I thought you were just saying it didn't work like it was supposed to and that's why it was ridiculous.
