Nok-Nok at House At the Edge of Time? (spoilers)
I completed Nok Nok's full quest (kings return) a million years ago. Now I'm at the house at the edge of time, and there is no way to not have Nok Nok perma die by Narissa. Even if I save/load until Nok Nok wins the Fortitude save against her finger of death, and only gets 30 hit points of damage, he is just dead when I walk up to him after. No way to target with a resurrect.

I think this may be a bug, since others are reporting that he is supposed to get back up and say he was pretending to be dead, if you have completed his full companion quest. And others reporting they are able to resurrect him.

Is this a bug? If not, is there any way to hack a save to make Nok Nok not perma die? He's been on my main party the entire game and to not have him for the end is a major bummer.

Did you complete Nok-Nok's quest by giving him the title of hero of the kingdom or something like that when back in town as final step? I heard that was required. To even get that option though, you need pick the convo option at the shrine site last quest where you praise him as lamashtu's chosen or something like that.

If you didn't do that stuff, I don't know if there is a way to hack fix it.

apparently there's a bug that his final character quest doesn't appear, I've had this issue. The goblin king one is the 2nd to last.

There's probably a flag somewhere in your player.json file to change it like there is with jaethal and tristian, but I don't currently know what it is. you'd have to dig around reddit for that.

The final step of Nok-Nok's quest is called "Hero at Last", and in that step he shows you the statue of himself. I got it 9 days after Return of the King. Finally you have to speak with him in the capital and dub him knight.

He worked fine for me. But I did finish his quest as mentioned in the spoilers above.

so the bug is that I never got that part of the quest... so irritating to spend all this time on this game, and find out you lost out due to a bug from many many days ago.

no one knows the save file hack to fix this?

It might not be a bug, depending on how you finished the 3rd step of the quest. If you ridicule him in front of the goblins, this could end the quest for you.

I myself get no 3rd quest step for the DLC companion. Maybe I did something during the 2nd which ended the questline there and then.

Then why the quest doesn't fail? "Judgment of the Gods" does, if I, like a reasonable person, slay the dangerous zealots who persistently harass my companion and my kingdom.

It was just an idea given the vibes you get from the quest and the NPC barks.

I have no idea why a quest fails in the fournal and another does not. But you don't fail the DLC companion quest, it just stops after the 2nd step if you never meet the siblings (and I didn't). I was still waiting for it to continue when I found in a post why it is stuck.

Jester Nok Nok has 3 quests.
Hero Nok Nok has 4, 4-th being about a hero statue. Prior to one of the latest hotfixes his last quest about the goblin king was bugged, resulting in failure flag no matter how it was resolved. It's all working now. For him to survive simply complete all his questline, be it jester or hero one.

3d quest for the DLC companions starts, you won't believe it but it's true, in the final optional chapter after the House at the Edge of Time.

I also know that it's possible to save nok-nok by declaring him your jester. In that case his way of survival is far less herioc, but it works!
