What is safe to sell/to whom
So..just hit act 2 and found out there was an actual antiques guy...so on that note..

What Junk items are actually safe to sell?

I.E - is there a use for pelts other than for cash?

other wise, do you sell everything that is tagged "merchent" to a merchent and "antique" to the dealer for max $$?

And on a related note, what do you guys spend $$ on? I think ive bought 1 more prebuilt character, and some magic belts. Unsure if I wasted 10k gold...

I guess you could use search, but whatever.
Items in "Curio" (or whatever it's called in English?) tab with yellow border shouldn't be sold - that's either quest items or items you can give in to the Storyteller NPC. Exception is the Golden Toad Necklace and one ring from a random encounter with some merchants. That's probably for an unfinished quest and have no purpose.
Items in "Other" tab are safe for sale. The exception is 1 Emerald and Emerald Necklace (the latter one is unique) - they are needed for an artisan quest. Also you may wish to not sell cooking ingridients after you find recipies for it.

Whatever you sell to Hassuf, Oleg or the dwarven weapon merchant stays in their inventory. So if you sell something you need later you can buy it back, but of course at a higher price. But they are effectively junkyards.
When you hit the button "offer" all cash items get traded. They moved spell reagents and other stuff to the tab with quest stuff and so they don't get sold anymore. As mentioned above, there are two items which get sold, but which you want later. There are like five emeralds in the game and you need one of those. And there are two emerald necklaces (no, it is not unique), of which you want one too. You can either put them in your chest or just buy them back, like I did, when I found out I need them.
All your weapons, armor, miscellaneous, potions and scrolls need to be traded by hand, but you find out soon that you don't need to keep all the stuff. If you don't have one among your people who can use a tongi, sell it.
About the cash: I had like 2,6 million gold at the end, so don't worry too much about 10k. I bought only 500 BP, but you could potentially sink 2 millions there. There are two merchants later on who sell expensive stuff between 30k and 320k per article, so keep a solid cash reserve to patch weak spots in your party's gear.
