Lonely Shambling Mound
Any tips to defeat the Lonely Shambling Mound (at the Old Sycamore)? I've been circling around a rock while my whole team shots at him but I've failed miserably till now

Try search into the steam forums? It's been discussed multiple times before

Buff your party before the fight. Bless, shield, rage for Amiri, bard's song, and so on. Be a level 3 at least.

Why would you want to attack it? It's a peaceful creature just minding its own business. Let it be.

powerplaying?
releasing the poor elf (that she was before the nearby alchimist (now corpse) turned her into that shambling thing)? (see diary next to the nearby corpse)
testing your own strength?
not liking monstrous fast growing beings in your kingdom? (see diary next to the nearby corpse)
enjoying killing stuff?
being lawful good?
being evil?
im sure everyone can find their own reasons...

I'm attacking cause I feel sorry for the elf, also according to the pathfinder bestiary book, the shambling mould is not the elf itself it's kinda of a carnivorous plant with fondness for elf flesh, or something like this

Thanks guys, I did it. I'm lvl 2 so the only thing that worked was put bows in all my team and then shot at the shambling mould while Amiri runs around one rock taunting it (since he only runs to the closes person)

I never found a use for them in my first completed playthrough but I did miss a lot of stuff.

Well it's odd, because, if I remember correctly, the locket has the name "Berta" on it, and later on you meet a bandit named "Bertha" (I could have those names reversed, just going on memory). I've wondered if it's a a typo and they should have the same name. But when I've talked to Bertha, there's no dialog related to the elf's fate.

I think they are different beings, there is no reason for a necklace to be with a shambling mound unless it's from the elf it killed (since it grew out of the elf). From what I suspect, the locket problably is there just to improve immersion
