Barbarians and Fatigue
I just started playing, so maybe it's something that isn't a problem later on, but it feels like the fatigue system basically gives the Barbarian only one rage per day despite saying I have 6? I don't remember this being a problem in the tabletop but the only way I see so far to remove fatigue is to rest.

Am I missing something?

I goes away after 5 minutes or so

The number (6) is the number of rounds you can rage per rest and it goes up as you gain levels (it works the same for bard songs). It's a toggle you can switch on or off. The feat Extra Rage gives you a few more rounds per day. Fatigue after rage should only last a short while.

Thanks Belangf, I'd forgotten that.

Five minutes feels like forever in a video game, though. You can get into a LOT of fights in five minutes. But it's good to know you don't have to rest to remove it.

You become Fatigued for 2x the number of rounds you use Rage. If you Rage for 12 seconds/2 rounds, you will be Fatigued for 24 seconds/4 rounds afterward.
Yeah it's not 5 minutes at all.

What about fatigue from other sources? I got fatigued from failing an athletics roll in the intro and it just stayed for the rest of the intro.

Depends? Fatigue from being fatigued is permanent until you rest. Fatigue from Touch of Fatigue cantrip lasts for one round. If you found yourself fatigued in the middle of the battle there's Minor Restoration potion/scroll which removes it.

Fatigue is generally permanent until you rest/use lesser restoration/etc. Certain abilities, like a Barbarian's Rage or the Touch of Fatigue cantrip, specify that they inflict the Fatigued condition for a certain number of rounds.

So if you get Fatigued from a spell or a class feature, then it's temporary. If it's from skill checks, long times between rests or other "mundane" sources, then it's permanent. Hovering the mouse over the condition's icon by the character's portrait should show a timer with how long it lasts.

Thanks.
eventually you can rage and not even be effected by fatigue, is also an necklace that negates fatigue which i fund useful on amari for awhile. Honestly i barely noticed fatigue early on, by late game it's a non-issue as it's not fatigue that's really detrimental it's exhaustion.

I think it was the fatigue from the failed skill roll (which was permanent until rest) that really threw me off. I hadn't been raging before that (aside from the automatic rage in the initial fight) because there was no need to.
