"Wings" feat is misleading
It says "provides immunity to ground effects such as difficult terrain". As far as I can tell, it ONLY provides immunity to difficult terrain, and not any other ground effect. Based on the description, one would assume it provides immunity to a majority of persistent AOE spells such as Web, Entangle, Grease etc (but not something like Stinking Cloud or Sirocco, which is air and not ground based).

Well technically if you read the Web spell it's not ground but also needs walls.

I haven't tested it on anything else but wouldn't be surprised if it wasn't working.

But +3 ac and immunity to ground is too op for 1 feat :/

Web isn't just a ground-based effect. It needs walls to cling to to be effective. Entangle magically enhances tall grass, weeds, and other plants to wrap around anyone in the area. The wings aren't really supposed to riase you up above that far above the ground (at least, for how they're described in this game).

I would say it should function against Grease, though. But, yeah, I wouldn't be surprised to know it wasn't functioing properly anyway.

Greese is the only one I specifically tested it on, but I do recal web and entangle not working previously.

The "wings" feat in game is meant to replace outright flight. Like, in tabletop at level 10 an Aasimar can grow wings and learn to legitimately fly. The effects of the feat are supposed to be the best representation the developers could do without actually giving the players flight.

Its not like you actually fly with the wings - you have marrow in your bones, don't you?

Wings stabilize you so you keep momentum moving over difficult terrain, leaping over spike stones etc.

You're getting too much reality in my fantasy.

The feat in tabletop is this one (there might be other versions for other aasimar bloodlines): https://www.d20pfsrd.com/feats/racial-feats/angel-wings-aasimar/
Feathered wings sprout from your back.

Prerequisites: Angelic Blood, aasimar, character level 10th.

Benefit: You gain a pair of gleaming feathered wings that grant a fly speed of 30 feet (average maneuverability) if wearing light armor or unencumbered, or 20 feet (poor maneuverability) with a medium or heavy load or medium or heavy armor. Fly is a class skill for you.

You can also make those wings metallic. What disappointed me was the lack of wings on my character.

They fixed that though

Are the wings visible in-game?

Oh they've changed it. I hadn't played the game in a while.
