Wild Hunt
Just started this and had no time to prepare for it, this is some garbage.

Freedom of movement or you fail, is not a strategy.

Again, no information on the mosters you face or how to deal with them, means that you have to prepare for the fight before it begins.

Preparing for a fight before it begins and having divine knowledge isn't anything more than cheating.

How many hitpoints do these guys have? What is their AC?

I don't play HARD, I play normal, so this is unacceptable.

Blind fight works too. It's a good feat that your melee characters at least SHOULD have, because it prevents anyone invisible from being able to sneak attack you or getting extra to-hit bonuses, as well as partially countering any concealment.

The reason blind fight works (doesn't say so on the feat), is that you can normally counter a Gaze attack by closing your eyes. Technically you shouldn't need the feat for that if you accept all the penalties, but the game doesn't go into THAT much detail.

Your party should really be OP, because this is the core design of the game, try analyze lost, prepare better win.

It isn't good for tactical value (at best average, in my opinion lower), but it's rather deep on the preparation aspect, and this is reinforced with timers and rest system.

I've heard that the Wild Hunt is reasonable for level 15 adventurers, I call bull on this.

A Wild Hunt party is 1 Monarch (CR19)/1 Scout (CR15)/3 Archers(CR13)/3 Horses/4 Hounds together they are a Wild Hunt (CR 21)

10 Scouts (CR 15) is beyond a a level 15 party. That's a (CR25?) and that's just not doable unless you are cheesing the hell out of it.

This is the ulyimate monster group that has neen overpowered. There is no preparation to be had cause every spell in the game to prepare for them (namely antimagic field that would wreck their faces is not there) summon an army and pray for good rolls.
Btw if a monarch is there they dont die cause monarch makes the group unkillable focus him down first. He also summons 4 archers in round one. Those archers will dissapear on his death. The archers do touch ac so valerie is useless against them. (unless you boosted her touch ac to 35+ with bracers+8 shield to touch ac, greater shield focus and +5ring) Their damage is force so it bypasses stoneskin and damage reduction from barbarians and of course there is no energy resistance force in the game qnd they also do sneak attack so try to not be outnumbered amiri actually tanks them better due to her uncunny dodge that makes her immune to sneak attack, cast displacement in yoir tanks so at least half the attacks miss. Also reg can tank them as long as he has mirror image. Yeah the encounter was rigged to kill the group. Also play the whole game with no xp sharing, only active members receive exp on difficulty tab i dont even know why this is not default, so your group can get to level 20...

I'm sorry, I'm not here to play some sort of a weird version of the game presented and I'm not starting a new game, just because you said so.

At this point in the game I should be level 15-16 not 20, not 25. So don't waste your time telling me to play an entire game, knowing that this scenario is coming. That's the sort of stupid ♥♥♥♥, the developers are suggesting with this fight, and they are ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ morons, who think the entire game should be leading to prepare for this fight.

Ahem... Your 6man level 15th party have itself baseline CR 17.

Wild Hunt CR way way overrated - you can counter them with some spells (plus you're know that your main enemy are fey since ~first third of game). And yes, encounters +5 or more are doable (while being very dangerous) - and yes, they literally mean that you're using most of your spells in single fight.

So it's nothing impossible here.

I can sense your overflowing love for the developers simply because of the huge number of hearts you're showing.

I'm glad we're united in loving this game, even as they work through the bugs.

yeah, tbf the wild hunt was annoying af until I just went 'screw it' and made a full merc team.

When I'm minmaxing, punching up 8 CR is still nothing to me. Maybe if they went a full 10 I might have an issue.

I suggest going to House at the End of Time with full merc team because you lose all your companions (some permanently). Strip all the good gear off your Companions and give to Mercs.

The only change required is how you approach the fights, because companions are optimized enough to fight even on higher difficulties; some of them are even stronger than any Mercenary you can make.

Hopefully they dont nerf WH too much, got to say I enjoy the challenge at later stages of the game. Everything else is just faceroll up to that point with a few exceptions.
