About the Two Bladed Sword
Is there a reason other than good looking or being different to use this weapon?

As far as I was reading it's kinda bugged and the dmg output (I have one on a 2WF fighter) is not really magnificent, rather average.

I like the looks and it reminds me on a certain female bard in NWN 1...

The idea to them is you get a longsword in offhand for a feats price makeing it a greater weapon damage wise for a fear. However atm it seems at least for some of them you only get the enhancement bonus to mainhand wich makes me pretty useless for the time beeing..

Well, the two bladed sword is a -2/-2 instead of the -4/-4 for the 2 longswords, with 2wf feat ofc. The problem, as Reaver79 pointed out, is that the enhancement bonus for most of the two bladed swords is only for the main hand(that includes the best one in the game)

So, in other words: These weapons are currently bugged, right?

Strictly speaking, each end of a double weapon is enchanted separately and can have different enchantments. The problem is non of the double weapons available have enchantments on the off hand part. I doubt that is intended.

Im up to chapter 4 and i havent found a single double weapon aside from the ordinary one you can buy in the beginning. The exotic weapons seem like a waste of a feat. Even the weapon maker for exotics doesnt let you pick what you want to make like the other crafters.

The double weapons are very much not worth the trouble in this game. Some exotic weapons are worth it for some classes though (Estocs for Sword Saints for example).

Hmmm.... now I have a fighter with 17 DEX who qualified for improved 2WF. Because of the fighter armour training she can apply her DEX-bonus even to heavy armour.

The question is, if she would ever be a good 2WF compared to the so called DEX-fighter. She does not have finesse (yet), but perhaps that would be an option for later to make a light off hand weapon even beter?

Opinions?

Uhm weapon finesse just substitutes Strength with Dexterity to hit, nothing more. Apart from Agile weapons you still use Strength for damage.
