Do crusader bonus feats only apply to diety weapon?
Do the bonus feat like improved crit and greater weapon focus only apply to diety weapon like they do in tabletop or is it differnt in game to where I can put them on a different weapon type?

bump, also looking at the in game character selection vs the tabletop description it does not say in game that the feats are restricted to the diety weapon. Can someone confirm this since I really dont want to be stuck with shenyln domains.

No. You get bonusfeats and can select the weapon you want to use them on. For example iomedae (longsword) crusader and i have weapon focus, improved crit etc. for heavy mace.
Basically you can select any weapon you have proficieny for (if the other requirements are met, eg weapon focus for greater weapon focus).

Do you recommend crusader or just do a single level dip into fighter? I want to make a heavy 2H battle cleric

No clue, i just made a high level merc to test it for you ;)
Personally i would stick with the regular cleric and not dip into anything else. In my opinion casters should not dip, to get the highest possible caster level in order to have high dc for their spells.
but having said that, i never tried to actually play a crusader or fighter cleric combination. So maybe someone else can give you a better answer.

If you want just one bonus feat (for whatever reason) you'd better go with 1lvl fighter, because Crusaders get one fewer spell per level anyway (and no second domain?) afaik. Then again, if you want an actual fighting cleric, making use of ALL those additional feats Crusader gets may be better. Or just make an Inquisitor.

I would skip crusader. The bonus fighter feats arent't worth the diminshed spellcasting ability.

Ya i think i just gonna do Fighter 1 and then pure cleric from then on to have all armor + martial weapons and not have to sacrifice any spells or domains

Well Madness cleric works great as offtank Buffer just make sure you dump intelligence and charisma... channel is to feat hungry for my taste if it scaled of wisdom on the other hand...

I wanted to go crusader to, but the -1 spell a level made me drop it, so instead I made a regular Cleric of Zon-Kuthon With Death & Darkness domains, then once I had 8 levels cleric I took 1 level fighter, before going back to cleric levels.
Granted my Cleric is based around channeling above spellcasting.
if you'r Chaotic you could mix Barbarian into your mix or if you're Lawful Good you could take Paladin levels for instance. (my choice for full martial classes were just fighter, ranger and monk, which made the choice of fighter easy due to wanting the heavy armor prof and extra feat.

I am trying to pick from Paladin or Crusader. Still not sure of the difference, but this thread helped a bit.

I tried both a Glave and Greatsword Crusader and found that 4 extra fighter feats wasn't worth sacrificing a domain and one spell slot per level. I went with the Regular Cleric of Erastil (Longbow) so I don't need heavy armor feat, and chose Animal domain (companions are OP) and Community for extra healing.

I cannot play without a regular Paladin in my party though, either protagonist or member with Aura of Justice for some beat downs. Hospitaler is tempting, but not necessary if I already have a Cleric.

I went fighter 1 and the rest cleric now. I have been LOVING cleave. I have never used it before and with a glaive so it has reach my main has one shot entire groups.

I'd respeced Harrim as a Crusader, and he's pretty good, the loss of spellcasting is minor (you still get normal level progress only lose 1 spell/level), and you get a better fighting ability.

If you do Crusader and plan on off-tanking I would at list go Human Irori deity so you get a free Improved Unarmed Strike feat that's a prerequisite for all the monk styles.
