If it's the latter question (which is how I interpret your mention of Guidance) then there are lots of ways. One is at the build level: unlike most skill checks, Perception does not rely on the single highest-skilled character. Everybody gets to roll, and if any one person passes the check, you succeed. So unless the ranks are crucially needed for something else, I give everyone ranks in Perception. If your high-skilled characters happen to roll terribly, then your backup, moderately-skilled characters can save the day.
Any time you're exploring a new map for the first time, buff as many people as you can with Heroism. It's a great long-term spell that boosts many things, but skill checks are one of them. If you think there's a perception check in a specific spot, then shorter-term buffs like Greater Heroism, Owl's Wisdom, or a bard's Inspire Competence can make sure you nail it.
Finally, I like to make a last few ricocheting criss-crossings of an area in case I missed a perception check by just failing to walk near enough to it...and if I'm back in an area one or more experience levels after my first visit, I'll criss-cross it again in case I failed a check last time.
...and it is one way.

Edit: additionally clerics can use find traps spell which boosts the perception check even higher (maybe just for traps i forget if it's a blanket perception or not).
As I understand it, Find Traps is misnamed in this game; it claims to boost all Perception checks. If this is correct, then it rockets to one of the best Perception buffs. :-)
That's a great strip btw. I'm on 432 and it's still funny
But with the non scaling system for sure this can lead to find some areas too late.
