Arcane Strike on Magus

So I'm doing an Eldritch Archer Magus. Just hit level 5 and am debating taking Arcane Strike feat.

On the one hand, it might be overkill as I can probably hit the +5 enhance limit later on in the game with just magus abilities, on the other hand I can use Magus to give weapon extra damage and rely on Arcane Strike for enhancement bonuses.

Is my thinking right here, or is this feat a total waste on Magus?

Is it the same as weapon enhancement? I think it just gives extra damage and doesn’t care about weapon enhancement. The real issue with arcane strike on a magus is that maintaining the bonus takes up your swift action, and magi have lots of powerful uses for those with their arcana. It’s still probably a decent choice, but you might not be able to have arcane strike active as much as you want.
