Then, don't multiclass as sorcerer. For 2 reasons. First, magus is not multiclass friendly by nature, so you have to be careful. Second, if you want to go dragon disciple, pick eldritch scion magus, the whole kit is for that, it's the magus version of the sorcerer, so that you don't have to pick sorcerer if you want to go dragon disciple (you get the spontaneous casting and the bloodline).
Thanks jazzable, that's the core of my question as opposed to whether or not multi-classing is a good idea. To be totally honest I'm considering using save editing to add a few wizard/sorc levels to be able to cast more first level spells since the limited magus slots for their most crucial spells (shield and shocking graps, mirror image, etc) drives me totally nuts. My real question is whether this will even work within the game code or if the game treats spells from other class spell books as "different" when it comes to spell combat and spellstrike.
Sajah in the first comment says that those two features work with any spells from any class, so that gives me enough optimism to make the character and give it a shot. I'll report back here after some thorough testing.
These are clearly bugs.

Magus, Spell Combat: What spells can I cast when using spell combat?
The relevant text of the ability is:
"As a full-round action, he can make all of his attacks with his melee weapon at a –2 penalty and can also cast any spell from the magus spell list with a casting time of 1 standard action (any attack roll made as part of this spell also takes this penalty)."
The spell you cast when using spell combat has to be a magus spell you know, and it must be a magus spell prepared with one of your magus spell slots.
There is however a magus arcana :
Broad Study (Ex)
Prerequisite: Magus 6, levels in another spellcasting class
Benefit: The magus selects another one of his spellcasting classes. The magus can use his spellstrike and spell combat abilities while casting or using spells from the spell list of that class. This does not allow him to cast arcane spells from that class’s spell list without suffering the normal chances of arcane spell failure, unless the spell lacks somatic components.
You would need this feature and lvl 6 magus to cast from other caster spellbooks.
In this game you can do it with 1 lvl of magus for free.
I hope this answers the original question.
Whether this would be fixed or not is another question.
Any sensible combination of
1 Magus / X Arcane caster / Y Arcane trickster / Z Eldritch Knight would deal twice the damage of its closest contender and is capable of soloing the game hard settings.
