Try Sirocco and aoe fire spells. Maybe channel energy harm undead.
That's why you don't cast it on yourself. It's really good for fights that have a ton of characters, which becomes more common in the end game.
My main is a paladin.
2nd time through I buffed up, hates, mirror image, bless... just kind of my standard fair, and got creamed again.
3rd time I blew through every buff I had. Regongar stone skinned everyone but Octavia and Harrim, who stayed in the back. My main is a pally, used that angel buff. Everyone had shield of faith. Used remove fear and aura of glory. Octavia cast firebrand on my group. Pally and Regongar had dawn shield. Regongar also had Vampiric shield. Everybody was displaced. Everyone was hasted. Harrim and Octavia used their highest level summon monsters as a buffer between them and the melee since they were going to get aggro eventually anyway with so many mobs.
Nok Nok was my sixth by the way.
Ran the melee in, all buffed to the gills. Had Octavia plastering the area with controlled fireballs. Had Harrim pretty much chain channeling to keep me melee up and running.
Ended up finishing the fight with everyone close to full health. But Octavia and Reg pretty much blew through their entire spell pool. And Harrim went through about half his channels.
I mean, I sort of cheesed because I buffed the crap out of everyone before walking into the area, but otherwise was a straight fight.
Thought I'd chime in because, after getting slaughtered my second time, I looked on these forums last night and didn't see them discussed at all.
Ended up winning eventually due to a mix of retrying sorocco, and having like 8 of the ghosts chase after dog when he ran (hasted, so pulled em way away)
How did you avoid the always present "I cast dispel when I touch attack you" stuff? - because even ultra fully buffed, it doesn't take them more than 10-16 seconds to strip you bare naked of any and every buff and had pimped necro-summons to block their first assault (invis...) + some other summons (yeah...patchnote the day after: we noticed by the time you unlock Undead to Dead, that the spell is MOST likely useless with it's crappy 9HD limit ^^
The Wyvern summons are pretty tough, though..need to buy the other too :)
But kind of a cool fight...
Not sure. I think the displacement helped not get touched for a bit, plus I had a good 20 - 30 seconds of laying out dps before my party started taking damage. Then it was all Harrim chain channeling to keep everyone in their feet.
I didn’t go back and parse the whole thing but I remember in my second try losing Valerie to a fear effect pretty early on. I think having aura of glory in the paladin helped. It’s an aura effect and his saves are off the chain.
I’m convinced pallys are way better tanks than fighters overall just because you get to the point where they never seem to fail saves, in top of their immunities.
That is the single most OP char in the whole game...besides the globardier!
But yeah..ppl usually don't notice with taking only 2 level cause of saving throws...
One word or syllable: 'POINT your f*cking finger at something that's supposed to die' (my record was a 256 crit dam hit with the glaive+5..yeah..I know...the youtuber have most likely more on paper..but never got prove)
I actually thought I could rush thru that as well :P I was proven better....rushed in..got pwned...2nd try..nay..pwned again....figured my summons..went better.
..
placed summons .. more .. like a lot... placed a trigger cast of Horrid; needless to say..it didn't do a thing but was the safest way to pull...
It's weird..cause I played a full 'necromancer' (the usual death stuff..drain, sicken, fear) but doesn't seem to work well in PK; yet the summons worked fine..
edit: paladin is srsly OP and bombardier :>
edit: lol for the whole _party_ I never forget how my wolf critical tripped vordekai and got insanely pwned by sick divine damage with the AoO trigger...yeah
