Pretty sure its a poison, so any of those spells that deal with that are ideal. Your best bet is to do stuff to boost saves, especially fort saves.

Heroism/Greater heroism, that sorta thing.

not that you can create a new merc at that point but one of cleric domains (protection probably) sshould have a greater domain power that prevents stat damage.
not really sure which one as i just remember reading it during char gen and didnt really use it

Summon spam. Animal companions can also take a ton of strength damage before dying, and the mid tier restoration spell cures it all in one cast.

The way they are written it says they drain STR by draining creatures blood. Lorewise anything bloodless should me immune. Now in Pathfinder Elementals are not immune to stat drain, but it is still strange to see elementals collapse in seconds to Mandragora Swarms.

In the end, their weakest saving throw is Will, and while they are immune to mind-affecting spells, Slow is Transmutation and targets just that. With any entangle-like or web spell on top, it slows them to a crawl. Also lorewise Mandragoras are vulnerable to Darkness but there are no spells like that in game. Tried Polar Night, but not sure if it did anything.

Or just bring best Undead-waifu and faceroll 'em.

Use those Wyvern Figurines, they last really long, and while they are focusing them, spam AoE spells

Clerics FTW. Use a few Create Undead and Animate Dead to keep the creatures busy. Keep your party only close enough to the battle to use any fire-based ranged weapons. The Mandragora Swarms are vulnerable to it. Use Flamestrike and any other fire-based spells to damage them. Your main weapon is going to be Horrid Wilting. The Mandragora Swarms are plant-based. Horrid Wilting does extra damage to plants. Happy Hunting!

With a 200ft pole :lunar2019madpig:

Yea, figurines and summons, along with ranged attack are the way to go. Luckily there aren't too many in the game.
Lots and lots of summons, AoE fire spells and lots of praying.

They still do HP damage to Undead-Waifu, sadly.

Do they count as a ground-based attack, such that a PC w/ wings, like Regongar or Tristian , can hover over them unharmed?

Monk, Diamond Body, torch?

This may not be the way you're supposed to do it, but you can simply have one character run circles around the swarms while the rest of the party picks them off one by one with bows and crossbows.

I kill them.

I just stock up on a lot of restoration items before heading out to that dungeon.
