Aldari Defender: Rapier or Dueling Sword?
I'm wanting to try a one-handed, dexterity based character so I figured I'd give Aldari Defender ago, but after reading a few discussions I've heard that there are quite a few really nice Rapiers, so I was wondering if going for a Rapier is viable for Aldari Defender, or if I'd be gimping myself if I didn't go with the Dueling Sword.

Also, is Aldari Defender the best class to go for for a Dex melee character?

This game has Dueling Swords everywhere. It's like they replace all the Longswords in the world.

Yeah, not found a single longsword worth sh*t! +1 and masterwork (also a +1) and that's it!
the cold iron sword is also a +1 and I'm now like lv10 chapter 3... 1-8 dmg on my main yet I've got companions with axes doing 2-25 (+elemental dmg) and maces and x-bows with similar dmg output!
Gimme a longsticker ffs!

Also, Duelling Sword!

The best "dexterity sword" is technically the Estoc but the best choice is the Dueling Sword, simply because they are far more commonly found in the game.

Also be aware that the Aldari Defender is seriously bugged right now and that some of his best abilities simply do not work.

1) I play AD right now and all of the abilities are working for me
2) Dueling sword because of Aldori Dueling feat (+2 initiative and +2 shield AC if off hand is empty)
