Configure Companion AI
Babysitting every unit is fine in the first few fights, but in late game it gets annoying. You will click the same attack patterns, buffs, debuffs all the time. Dumb, repetitive. Damn, why can't I teach them to do that by themselves after the quadrillionth fight? Especially with this abundance of spells and possibilities - why can't my companions use their own brains ?

Would love to see a system to pre-program the AI of companions. Dragon Age Origins had this, and - in my opinion - it got one of the best games ever just because of this.
You could adjust the whole companion AI to your playstyle in a fine grained way according to your playstyle.

In DA:O this system made your companions actually do what you want and act as a team.
That is what I miss most in this game - the possibility to configure the behaviour of my teammates.

Status now - they are stupid. Really stupid, braindead puppets. Of course some ppl will always like the idea of companion-zombies like this, but in a semi real-time combat system this is just poor.

In such a combat system I want my companions to act intelligently and use their abilities on their own, and react to current team status. I want them to use their abilities automatically for best combat/team efficiency.

Would love to see something basic like in Dragon Age Origins: Some in-game configurable AI system, reacting to battle/positioning/resistance conditions.

In DA:O you could so such basic/amazing things like
- if x enemies are close to others, cast aoe spell y
- if own/fellow health is lower than x, cast heal heal
- if level/health/class of enemy is x, do something y
- if enemy is attacking x, y will break combat and help
- combos like:
- mage: cast mass sleep if there are more than x enemies close to another
- rogue: if someone is sleeping, break combat and attack now vulnerable enemy

Of course this is all in game, but honestly, how often did you recognize that a target has a status that can be exploited by a specific skill or spell in that round by any member of your team?

Would eventually add a new layer to gameplay, smooth out later game and take away the chore in battles.

I don't want to reduce this to a battle simulator, don't understand me wrong, but I definitely want a way to improve the behaviour of my beloved companions - and give them some sort of brain..

This feature would make me buy the game for sure!

I'm planing to buy it, but I hate micromanagement 1000 allies...

I LOVE Dragon Age for that feature!
