Guard headquarter or clinic

After the quest season of bloom can choose to construct prison into clinic or guard headquarter.Is there any impact on the game?

I chose the clinic, but, I didn't notice any real impact on the game so far. However, I dunno if it would have been any different had I a guard headquarter.
Edit: I am now in Chapter: War of the river kings (chapter 6 I think?)

you only get different kingdom stat bonuses and possibly further quest branches

for example the clinic gave me +3 loyalty and +3 community (which I have alot of at the time), so I redid it and took the guard headquarters, which gave me +2 military and +3 stability (much needed stability at that point).

later on I got a quest to decide where to train troops at, on the border or in the capital, got different bonuses based on that as well.

You always get the training troops event, it just takes a certain level of Military to get it.

As far as I can tell, the choice only changes which stats you get right then and there.
