Linzi Quest - Easier to ask forgiveness
Spoilers ahead. If Linzi returns the money does it prevent you from getting more quests from Linzi later on?
I don't care if I loose xp or loot by not going after the bandits who stole the printing press. It's just a roleplay choice I want to do, but also don't want it to prevent all further quests with Linzi.

In what RPG you refuse progress a companion quest and it will progress anyway?

It's interesting you except this RPG could do it.

In What RPG are you railroaded into a single viable solution?

A bad one is the answer.

You should be able to tell Linzi that you thought you could trust her and are very dissappointed in her. You shouldn't 'be given only two options which are basically:

1) You can do no wrong; and
2) Die mfer die mfer.

A RPG that not all quests of a companion are related to each other?
I am supposed to guess that all quests are a natural progression of the quest before and not something else entirely?

Ok back pedal, you need refuse hunt them through dialog, then this quest is certainly closed. Your question was like you still had the choice so accepted and then wanted not do it and let open the quest.

Yes, in general, they don't, I don't remind which one would do it.

It's a matter of relationship management, those quests are used to make it progress, allow player to freeze first quest then do second quest, and finally do first quest anyway, is a lot of trouble to manage well the relationship progression.

But you can roleplay your choice by refusing hunt the bandits through dialog, so this is different then. It would be weird this choice hasn't consequence but that it close all further companion quest would be weird too.

I'm not here to debate which RPG does it and which doesn't. I made a simple question. If I refuse to help Linzi in her first quest, will it prevent me from getting more quests from her later on? That's all I want to know.

And yes, I know that if I refuse the quest is closed. That's fine. I just wanted to be sure that it won't prevent other Linzi quests to come up.

Yes, for me, your OP wasn't clear on that, and the missread, sorry.

Now if you are going to ask consequences on all your choices, good luck.

Can't help you. I did check my logs and they are not a continuation (story wise they don't seem to be connected with the press) to the best of my knowledge. Now if you can or cannot do them if you leave the first one... no idea. BUT having done them no big loss.

Theres something I didnt understand and havent looked into more cause I don't want spoilers but supposedly they can die in the end if you dont do their personal quests? I still let Amiri's quest fail cause... roleplaying reasons. If I lose her, I lose her.

Yes, of course, thank you. You're very helpful. Please do continue to comment here with no helpful advice at all.

Hmmm... I see. It would be weird then if the game prevented me from getting the other quests. Guess I'll have to wait and see for myself.

Do post when you find out. Im curious and I cant find this info anywhere online. Her second quest is finding a friend of hers so theoretically... it should be doable but maybe the devs have chained them? Who knows...

Ha! That may take a while... But sure, I'll post here when I find out. Do you remember when her second quest starts?

So, have you found the answer?
Brian Sirith Jul 13, 2021 @ 2:09pm
Its a three year old thread mate. Make a new thread. As far as I remember the answer is: she gets her later quests.

My Asmodean Cleric told her to put the money back THIS INSTANT and stop embezzling funds meant for the public. She didn't get her press but she got the Pitax quests later on.

Thanks so much - that was really helpful!
