Come to think of it, Tristian's romance might also work on an approval rating system.
I don't think this is a very robust romance mechanic, honestly. On the other hand, the companion quests are much better than any other game, so perhaps it isn't such a big deal.

Its just that, she was still kinda bugged in my game, always using this acid spell, even as she has a +3 fire crossbow/bow or something like that. to risk to lose some fight, because all she can do is firing minor acid spells for 1-3 damage is not really helping. She is dead wood in this way.
