Octavia Romance

Sorry if this is in the wrong place.

I am just wondering about Octavia since i manged to get her tavern scene in my first attempt at the game (died in act 3) But in all my newer run throughs i have not gotten the tavern scene with octavia and reg. I do not know what i am doing wrong. Does anyone have any minor guide on how to get this scene to trigger?

My first time it happened after i defeated the trolls, I am currently mid way through the season of the bloom and no luck in triggering this scene reddit suggests simply keeping her in the party and removing her from the party to avoid the show down about dimwit.

If anyone can help me out so i do not have to restart again i will be entirly greatful.

She does have a dialogue if you don't kill the kobolds(by siding with them or taking the neutral option) and talk them into releasing your companion. She'll ask about how you feel about prisons. I think agreeing with her here plus taking all the flirty conversation options with her at Olegs' was what triggered the tavern scene really early for me. In general she seems to like responses that value personal freedom above all else.

Come to think of it, Tristian's romance might also work on an approval rating system.

I managed to get the tavern scene as soon as I founded the barony. Basically, make sure Octavia is always in the party, and any time she expresses an opinion, do what she wants.

I don't think this is a very robust romance mechanic, honestly. On the other hand, the companion quests are much better than any other game, so perhaps it isn't such a big deal.

I didnt flirt with her, denied her at every opportunity(was going for Valerie or maybe the Nymph), and as soon as I finished hers and Regongars quest in act 5 the tavern boob scene happened, so keep it up fellas, it will eventually happen with you too

Its just that, she was still kinda bugged in my game, always using this acid spell, even as she has a +3 fire crossbow/bow or something like that. to risk to lose some fight, because all she can do is firing minor acid spells for 1-3 damage is not really helping. She is dead wood in this way.
