why would i wanna use padded armor +5 as a rogue when i have masters robe and or bracers +5?

Padded armour has innate 1 AC. So Padded armor +5 gives 6 armor AC.

I'm admittedly not familiar with the specific robe in question, but at a high level, the reason would be slot efficiency. You might have other magic bracers (of archery?) or something else to put in the arms slot that you'd rather use instead of armor. Or, you may have a feat that improves your AC when wearing light armor.

Bracers of Armor don't stack with any other forms of armor, so they tend to make their way to spellcasters to avoid spell failure.

Adtionally, Padded Armor is a +1 AC by default, so if you have padded armor +5, the AC value would actually be +6.

For no reason, only if you have armor focus or it's the magic leather vest that gives the player the "Great invisibilty spell on being HIT" making you a really, really deadly sneak attack machine.

Forgot about the +1, but its the same because the slot armor is used by the robe and bracers by the armor effect. I don't remember the exact number, but the padded armor has a dex bonus cap. If he is using a robe his bonus AC from dex can go over the armor limit.

but dex is +9 at minimum... padded is +8
