FPS in game
So i just got my RTX 2080 and 144Hz monitor, so i started caring about FPS again :P

In this game it seems that it's locked to 60fps no matter if i put everything low (vsync off) or everything max (vsync off) It's still around 60fps no matter what - same in exclusive fullscreen and fullscreen borderless.

Am i missing something? Is the game just faking disabling vsync?

Just asking beccause Unity and VSync used to have a somewhat problematic relationship and you definitly dont want 2000 FPS on static screens. :steamhappy:

FRAPS had the same FPS, so still 60'ish. *Scratches head*
Gonna try some black magic then, AKA just messing around with nvidia program settings and gsync and see if something sticks :P

It's a topic about someone getting a videocard? :D

So i feel i've tried everything now.
Reinstalled game, deleted owlcat regkeys, temporarily renaming the owlcat appdata folder.
Reinstalled nvidia drivers (416.34) with DDU, cleared steam shader cache, disabling overlay.
Forcing and disabling misc settings in nvida control panel - manually forcing physx to cpu\gpu.

No matter what graphical settings i chose, MSAA off, or 8x multi - low preset, high preset, vsync off/on. 1080p or 1440p.
Nothing seems to change the fps being around 60-70.

It's just like something says; that's your target fps and that's what you're gonna be at.
This is the only game among many i have this issue with.

It's not the end of the world, as the FPS is just fine to play with, and it's not like it's BF or COD.
Still, anyone got any wild ideas i can try? (Except reinstalling OS, that' my limit, heh)

Install OS on an old extra drive if you've got one lying about and try it that way.

Maybe try with a different monitor, may be some weird GSync issue, I dunno.

I've got 2 1070s in SLI, don't think the SLI works at all in this game but I'm getting about 80FPS at 3440x1440, max settings with AA disabled.
TURN OFF VERTICAL SYNC ...and see the magic...
ooh and you are welcome

Some games target a certain FPS and won't go higher, probably due to its physics engine having problems if frame rate goes too high or something.

I have the same problem, this game locks the FPS to 60, probably because my monitor is 60Hz, and turning off V-sync doesn't work. SOS...

its very bad because some games even pc one's are made for some amount of frame per second mode, so its now 60, you obviously can do some unlock but in the end, it is or some pc good ports what are suppose have more that 120 fps or e sports games like cs dota and etc

i think this one game really not have a 144 hz or 120 hz mode, and are suppose to be 60 fps only
