Animal rage isn't really good, but can be used to useful effect if you give your barb the winter wolf cloak that adds cold damage and trips to your bite attacks.

Animal fury if you character doesn't move is an extra attack at -5, but you still get your normal weapon swings on top of that, so no downside. Totem replaces your weapon swings with inferior claw attacks.
Given that you VERY RARELY run out of rage, that's not really an issue.
well there is a downside...bite has a tiny range so if you are enlarged with a 2h your character moves closer to do their bite move
only if your barb has a reach weapon, otherwise no. Your bite as the same reach as your hand to hand weapons.
