Where do they go after you kick them from the fort? I freed the overgroun cave from the barbarians, but they stil haven't returned

You need to tell them you are going to get it back(think it is that Good only option in dialog), but they give you just dialog anyway

I did, but then they vanished

Maybe a dragon ate them while they were traveling to the cave. I hear Spriggans are high in fiber.

I'm more inclined to think that it was aa giant bug who got them :/

I think that it's a Lawful only choice where you can get them to go back? If that's you and they vanished, then i'm guessing it's bugged or not coded to actually show them back.
