[Suggestion] Phylactery of Channelling item slot
This item is currently slotted for helmet, which is also a slot for Headband of Inspired Wisdom. For those with a Cleric in party (probably 95% of us), we'd have to switch between the two all the time, which is annoying.

What's even more annoying is that we'd lose a spell slot when taking off the Headband.

Suggestion: Change that item to use the necklace slot. I know some D&D bible says it occupies a helmet slot, but I am pretty sure in PnP games, the (good) DMs would not subject its players to this inconvenience.

No, he would not, because it would be OP.
You need to pick between stat boost and that one.

At this point, it's mostly an annoyance factor and does not impede the double benefit:
1. Use up the extra spell gained from wisdom (e.g. for healing)
2. Equip the phylactery and use channel
3. Re-equp the headband

Right. Unlike a lot of games you don't lose the spell slots when you take it off.

Yeah, there's that too. I don't mind losing that spell even. I just dislike having to re-enter it in the spell book.

I'm sure it's too much to hope for to ask it to be gloves but my cleric has no boots or gloves in Act 4 :)

In pen and paper Pathfinder circlets and headbands/phylacteries actually do occupy different slots. Head for the former, and headband for the latter. Armor, body, and chest are also three different slots, though the number of items in the latter two are much less as it could easily be cheesed.

No they do not. You aren't reading the rules very well, and your DM was being generous. At no point in the game are you allowed to wear both. Each one is a head slot item, so you can only wear one or the other in Pathfinder.

Nope. https://www.d20pfsrd.com/magic-items#TOC-Magic-Items-Slots

Also page 459 of the core rulebook, under magic items, which is the source for that link.

You might be thinking of 3.5, where that was true for head items.

Thanks Remmy.:ShockedOwlcat:
Step 1: cast owls wisdom on your cleric
Step 2: profit?

seriously the head slot item and buff don't stack it's pretty easy to just memorize an owls wisdom and get both...

How long does your Owl's Wisdom last anyway, even with Extend?
Besides I'm usually using it for Will saves on those that need it and only later do you get Mass Owl Wisdom which I like to save.

Actually now I have the Perfect Headress (or whatever it's called) so I'm losing a LOT more than Wisdom if I take it off.

1 minute/caster level the same duration as bull's strength and all the other +4 duration buffs. I don't see the issue... either you want +2 DC or you want more healing on channel(or damage if you are an evil cleric) i just don't see the issue it's easily worked around.

In other words yours doesn't last any longer than mine so it's not a solution. I'm not going to cast Owl's Wisdom as it wouldn't replace my headband anyway and would take up another spell slot. We were just chatting about how it's just a swap back in forth anyway so why bother with the inconvienence of it. It's not a big deal -- at least to me -- but since it was brought up it could be used in another slot even according to PnP I found that interesting.

https://www.d20pfsrd.com/magic-items/wondrous-items/wondrous-items/h-l/headband-of-inspired-wisdom

Since you decided to use d20pfsrd as your source, please notice that both are in the HEADBAND slot. Argument over, please move on.

Now hats and face masks are a different matter, those are actually HEAD slot items but the Phylactery and the Headband of Inspired Wisdom are both in the HEADBAND slot.

My bad, clearly I was not looking at the item name of the headband of wisdom and assumed it a circlet. I bow to your superior rules lawyering and the crippling student loan debt that came with it.
