I'm still trying to figure out why some of these Perception checks are god-tier. If I had to do it over again I would have gotten perception but I don't even think my Cleric would hit 40 buffed.
Maaaybe with the Perception +5 headpiece ...or if there is more equipment, but if there is it's not available for Armag's tomb (unless it is a relic that I haven't found)...could be for the OP's concern.
The overland map shouldn't have perception checks on it, period. One check per level is a bad joke and extremely poor game design. If it was once/day or once/week, fine. But once/level? Seriously?
Thanks for updating us. I try to do this on my own but on the Perception stuff, any help is appreciated. I barely found the tomb, which I know is in the FAQ but that's another story.
Thanks :)
Are you sure it's one check per level? I failed Armag's went to buff some more to 24 and finally found it.
Edit: I think the once per level is limited to dungeons. From what I can see you *must* have Linzi to pass these checks. I suuupose that makes sense. I've never cared for character specific games but at least now I kinda get where they're going with it. But this also presumes you have a divine caster or monk with perception maxed and you can still fail. (Anyways...)
