I hate Unfair fights!
I'm not talking about the unfair difficulty level, no reason to go over how lazy it is for the devs to up difficulty by boosting stats and saves.

I'm talking about fights that your are scripted to be unable to prepare yourself for.

Like the two bozos in front of Jamandi's cache in the tutorial.

I see them, they don't see me, but I can't surprise attack them, because they're marked as friendly, which means that their buffed Unfair stats are pretty much insurmountable, because I don't get the surprise round that, by all rights, I should be getting in this fight.

Umm... Even on high difficulties, those two bozos are pretty easy. How are you having trouble with them? On normal difficulty, those two bozos aren't even a minor speedbump.

Should you technically have a surprise round? Sure... does it really matter? You still kill them easily. Heck... usually the two halflings kill them before my main character can get a shot in... unless I'm doing the higher difficulty, then I get a few shots in until they die.

I'm not serious about the unfair difficulty, but it does irritate the hell out of me when obvious enemies are marked as friendly before a fight.

Probably a troll... I fell for it.

No, they are not easy on Unfair. They're pretty early on, so go ahead and try them out, they steamroll your party if you're not using a caster with sleep.

I think you're thinking of a different fight. The two you fight when you meet up with Linzi and Tartucio, are in fact extremely easy on every difficulty level; I'm not sure they even get bonus stats on the higher difficulties.

Heh. I'm an idiot. If you trigger their scene with the party in stealth, then they won't actually see you, even though they scream "Someone's Coming!"
