Well, yes, I can see your point. In fact, after your first post I started feeling a bit guilty. Sometimes I don't even like killing dragons and esp don't like killing bears, wolves etc. even though it is in nearly every high-fantasy/outdoor RPG. Usually it's self defense but when I'm in their territory it just doesn't seem right. I have no qualms about Owlbears though.
Giant spiders and vermin (including the human variety) I have no trouble with.
