What Weapon Training Group does the Sling Staff fall under?
Title. Is it bows? Crossbows? I think bows because it has Composite but Uh... The paper doll doesn't change? Halp.

Isn't a sling staff an exotic weapon?

Weapon Training is a Fighter Feature, 5th level. They aren't grouped as Simple, Martial, and Exotic.

I am aware of that. Slings are thrown weapons imho since they add strength, staff slings might be the same...but since they are exotic and are even a halfling thing..no idea. Never used them extensively.

Thrown: blowgun, bolas, club, dagger, dart, halfling sling staff, javelin, light hammer, net, shortspear, shuriken, sling, spear, starknife, throwing axe, and trident.

At least in pnp. Some things might be buggy in this game..

I jumped in balls deep with them this game. Never used them before, either. Guess I'll try thrown. Will update.

Slightly related: How do you throw a throwing weapon instead of using it in melee?

WHELP. There isn't even a "Thrown" category. *womp womp*

I played around a bit with the sling-staff. The projectile takes about a combat turn from being released until it hits the target. Not worth IMHO.

If I'm going to be honest that's actually one of my favorite things about the weapon. Watching the slow projectile listfully float toward it's intended target makes me laugh every time.
