Report a translation problem
As of the question if it actually does anything, it should be simple to check; fire a few fireballs at the character and see if there are instances where they take no damage. Make sure the ring is not put on a character who already has the Evasion class mechanic.
Ah okay, cool. Yeah, it seems to work. I wish "evasion" was highlighted so you could hover over it and get a description of what it's supposed to do.
There definitely should be more explanations in game for things in-game.
