House at the Edge of Time movement issues.
Anyone having difficulty moving around the House at the Edge of Time? I don't mean teleporting through the fog (although teleport mazes suck). I mean being unable to cross thresholds, or having your characters stop moving for a few seconds even though they're still playing the walk animation. General difficulty just getting from one end of a hall to another. I'm getting through it, but only through copious use of Dimension Door, which seems wrong.

Also, I assume the dead medusae still being able to petrify your characters is a bug.

If you read the entry in-game on Medusae, you should actually be immune to their gaze if you are blind. I tried blinding my party members on purpose, but they still kept failing (rolling high 20's for a dc 11 = fail somehow).

I try to stack them as much as possible, and then I move people through areas a medusa died single file. You know, because of the running in place bug, so it's not ticking 3-5 times everytime each party member steps on the boundary, resulting in 20+ ticks each to get past what takes 2-3 ticks single file...

They need to fix the layers; I think what's happening is the "alternate" versions exist in templated forms, so the medusae and the swarms are alive, and this creating a sort of super position where every encounter effect is being stacked and even if you clear out the two dimensions you can get to, the platonian dimensions persist.

I'm pretty sure the staggers happen at spots where there is a dimensional barrier in the other phase, by the way, which is why it seems like its random. Also the phantom swarms stagger you, of course. Pro-tip, walk around the edge of that room with the tree's, and you can avoid the invisible swarms (after you've killed the real ones)-- this is partly why I think its a template-overlap issue, because the spawn points seems to be where you take swarm damage, not random or where the swarms actually died etc.

The whole save-file structure is a mess, so it's really easy for things to bleed into areas they shouldn't and persist when they shouldn't. I have a torch with the icon from a short sword (just one) because of some leaked memory from having too much stuff on me at once I'm guessing.

Also, nothing seems to cure petrify. I'm assuming there will be a way to fix them in the epilogue if you steal Nyrissa's power or something, but I haven't finished yet. These damn Wild Hunt Monarchs who summon immortal copies were giving me a hell of a time, but now that I have three casters stacking Disintegrate (one of the only reliable spells to finish them off), I've almost cleared out all the nests.

It's really annoying how Ekbo keeps spawning over us as a statue everytime we wake up, no matter where we make camp, and presumably Ekun has to cry over his dog being turned to stone again. I mean, that actually fits with the lore, though- Nyrissa is a petty ♥♥♥♥♥.

I think what's happening, is that you have to actually roll 11+ to beat it, rather than have the modified fortitude + roll result be 11+

Oh, I forgot to include my other evidence on the layers being messed up... I used cloudkill in one layer, then went to another and got messages about it killing a bunch of wild hunt people in the next one lol... just remembered because I'm looting bodies from an encounter I never reached before they died. Although it took a few hours of fighting to get through the hallway to actually get to that point... I should have just dropped cloud kill in all the halls in the other layer and rested a day.

On the second level there is a room with Mandroga swarms. Even if you kill all of them in the one Dimension (the other has Nymphs) they are still there in both dimensions, blocking you and dealing ability damage.

This truly seems to be a bug. I have not found a way to get around this either.

I'm having the same issues with chapter 7. Its so broken its impossible to play.

I am also prevented from finishing the game by invisible, already killed Mandragora swarms and movement blockers. That and losing my bard and barbarian because bugged out companion quests earlier in the game meant I lose my favorite NPCs 3 Acts later.

I am at chapter 5 and I am not sure about if I should continue playing or waiting a month or more to game fixed. I love the game but seeing these kind of buggy chapters is not helping the issue.

I say wait a bit as right now, unless you’re adament about having to finish right now, because it really is hair-pulling.

As an aside: At this point, I’d prefer a load screen (the game is full of them anyway) between different area version instead of this overlapping mess.

Plus, the maps look visually almost identical: I never know which one I’m one!

Or just both areas next to each other on the same map but properly separated.

Yes, the map would look even more confusing, but at least you shouldn’t have overlapping and invisible encounters that way.
