Where is bokken?

the alchemist or what his name is.
I built his alchemist lab in another town is he there then? or is he somehwere in the capital?

I don't know if he moves but his original location was Oleg trading post.

I built his lab and 'completed' the court alchemist quest, but he stayed in Oleg's post and doesn't acknowledge the lab, or have any dialogue options other than those before I had that quest.

EDIT - Shortly after making this comment, he finally popped into the throne room and gave me a new quest, so I'm confused.

Indeed. When you built the Bokken's Alchimist shop, you'll have to wait until Bokken... wakes up? From memory, he comes in your throne room, offers you a random scroll or potion, tells you that he will keep crafting a random item and gives it to you (or you can ask him a specific item), then you'll receive a quest, in your throne room, a letter written by Oleg's wife.
Bokken is either in your throne room, or in Oleg's Post, doesn't matter where you built his Alchemist shop.

I just got the letter from the lady wanting me to check up on him. Hes not at the post or in the settlement for the ancient formula quest. Is this a bug? or am i missing where to look

I started this quest and talking to him the first time he was still at the trading post next to Oleg. Maybe time of day matters?

Haha! I did all of Bokken's quest stages and found him dead at Oleg's post anyway. One day this game will be a masterpiece. That day is not today though.

I would like to point out that there isn't really any other potion vendor other than 'ol Bokken. So if you're a merchant looking for a sure way to turn profits, head on over to the Stolen Lands! The devs never coded Bokken as anything more than the bum that hangs around the Trading Post selling the few potions he has until he runs out and then everyone that can't read scrolls is pretty much out of luck. Oh, but he will stop by from time to time with a couple different potions here and there. But if you're thinking about stocking up on those healing pots, think again. Unless I'm mistaken, there is no potion vendor that restocks their inventory and Bokken's inventory was almost gone very early in the game. I'd call this a major oversight only it didn't get overlooked, it was just left in an awkward and unfinished state. (You have to pay to have a potion shop setup for Bokken in one of your villages as part of the agreement for him to work for you. So you spend resources on a shop for the guy and he doesn't even bother to go and see it!)
