30 hours into the game, still can't find Sling or Dart
Wonder if I missed some trader (Boken died), but even in my barony I can't find a sling for druid to use. Concidering every trader features adamantite full plate and exotic elvish estocs of doom in masse as if they are all some insane weapon collectors, asking for a simple sling shouldn't be much of a trouble.

I've been looking around for one for my druid as well and no luck if anyone finds one I'd love to know where to go looking.
Anyone found a robe for that matter?

I'm curious I havent made it to my barony yet (just headed back to olegs to dump loot and rest, cleared the outer sycamore and went neutral. before I go in to the caves to break tarts face)

Is there mithril armors in this game? Im planning in fighter 5/wizard5 eldritch knight 10 and it more or less hinges on mithril being in the game so I can reduce the arcane armor casting penalties. (im no stranger to D&D and only played a few sessions of pathfinder myself but I have to gripe about why tf half plate has more armor check pen and casting failure than straight up fullplate. And why spells dont list their components because if I remember right only somatic components in spells are the reason for spell failure.)

I have never seen a sling in the game. It's possible that they're currently unobtainable. Now if this is because they're missing from the loot table on accident or because they actually aren't implemented I don't know.

tbh I've never actually seen anyone want to use a sling in a Pathfinder or D&D game. There are very, very few situations in which they're useful. It's entirely possible that, since the game was tested primarily by people who play those games, that the sling and any bugs related to it simply got overlooked.

Pretty sure there are no slings or darts in-game. It's regrettable, but understandable.

If you want, I can dig out my old Halfling Warpriest with a sling that dealt damage like you wouldn't believe? Halflings get a feat chain specific to slings, and then the Startoss Style chain combined with that is bloody amazing.

Nah man, go to Candlekeep just south of your capital. There's a few there, and I've picked up another one since then too. All only giving like, +2 to specific kinds of spells (got fire, water and air at this time).

Well since druids are not allowed to use bows or crossbows, sling is their only ranged attack.. I want slings too.
Shadenuat Sep 28, 2018 @ 11:53am
Sling/Dart is the only ranged weapon in Druid proficiency so they either should be in the game or that feat should be changed to say Shortbow (since it's also 1d4 weapon).

Also having no option for slinging halfling character is going against the traditions :)

Only sling I found was a slingstaff, which is an exotic weapon. Really shouldn't be that hard to find just one on a shop.

After 100 hours, one dude found this in Armag's tomb in some random trash pile

Notice it doesn't have Proficiency written in it (i.e. "Simple). Maybe that is why they are missing from game item tables or something.

The mystery continues to unveil

It is also apparently a bow and 2 handed

Slings and Darts. They even put in weapon focus: Darts but there are no darts in the game.
So stupid.

I've found one that gives my water/ice spells +2 save DC.

IIRC I think I found it behind the puzzle-locked door that the two clay golems were guarding in the Lonely Barrow. You can use your elemental damage cantrips to unlock the puzzle by zapping the podiums with them.

Yes, I've seen a mithril fullplate +1 at the arms vendor in the capital.

Umm... They have all their orisons for ranged... which do more damage and hit with a Touch AC... I don't know why a druid would ever want to use a sling or dart unless they go up the feat chain for them... and that feat chain isn't in game. Plus there are so many other and better feats for druids to work with.

Once you can wild-shape, you shouldn't be doing much ranged anyways, if ever.
