How do you complete the Lost Child quest? *spoilers for that quest*

So I sneaked in through the broken palisade and talked to the spirit posessing the boy, but I can't trigger the fight. I know one guide says you need to have the Glitterdust spell but I don't and I really don't like the idea of grinding until I can level up one of my mage characters. Is there any other way to expose the spirit?

I believe you require the Glitterdust spell in order to expose the spirit. Fortunately, Linzi should possess this spell if you have her in your party. If not, I'm not sure what other option there is other than buying the spell.

Can you use it if you go back after you talk with the spirt? Or are you screwed if you talk to him without someone having glitterdust? Because I just got Glitterdust and there no option to use it in conversation. Is there *any* way to start this fight after you talk to the spirit and he brings the Lizard King in and tells you you can go and he won't harm you?

This quest, unfortunately, is very specific. You need Glitterdust before you even initiate dialogue with the child, and even then, you have to succeed on the Arcana check for the option to use Glitterdust to be available. If the lizardfolk are in the hut with you when the spirit is exposed, the fight becomes astronomically harder.

Yeah this quest has some serious issues. Glitterdust aside all the lizardmen came into the hut and now are just standing there with no option to proceed with the quest....

As an FYI, you can have a scroll in the belt slot, and it will trigger the option to reveal the spirit.

I mean, it's not exactly a terrible spell to have on your casters anyways, as it's a decent debuff spell, especially against a bunch of monsters (since Blindness/Deafness probably isn't going to land, given it's a Fort save). I didn't even realize that was the triggering spell (it's on my Sorc) and was thinking it might have been See Invisible. And then the dumb thing got hit by a 90 damage Scythe crit first turn.

I do agree that the requirements probably need broadened somewhat though.

so besecally im screwed to even compleet the quest? I missed to help a lizard and i found the kid ect. Did not understand it so i left to do other stuff. Now im on my back helped the lizard i missed(i already did speak with the boy and did all the options) and cuz i did not know what to do i decided to look around. And what do i see? im pretty much screwed to EVER compleet this quest. Glitterdust is not working, there is nothing that have worked to make this quest progress... this is such a let down

Either its been changed or there is another option. For me after talking to the kid he agrees to give the kid back in exchange for the old lizardman out front, forget his name. You then have the option of sending the guy in or going with him to expose the spirit. Unfortunately at least for me, on two attempts, as soon as he exposes the spirit the spirit casts lightning bolt and kills the kid.

My experience was screwed if you don't expose him with glitterdust the first time (even see invisibility doesn't work).

Octavia is the answer. She is a wizard, and can copy any scrolls. Find/Buy a glitter dust scroll, copy, rest and complete.

They patched the quest now. If you didn't do the Glitterdust thing you can talk to Tig and he tells you to bring the lizard you met outside the village for him to posess and he exposes the spirit.

I healed the kid, used cure curse on the kid and i talked with all three lizards in the village, healed the dying lizard, supported the medecine lizard and said i came not for revenge to the warrior lizard.Then i talked to the lizard outside of town and told him i would help, the fight starts and the kid do not die but the lizard king died every time so not sure if there is a way to keep him alive.
