Rogue are totally overpowered !!! WTF free finesse, sneak attack gallore...
What is going on ???

This is not 4th edition, this is Pathfinder. How come Rogues are given free finesse at level 1 and Dex to damage at level 3 !!!

Not to mention sneak attack are totally bugged and activate 100% of the time meaning a constant +xd6 to damage.

You get sneak attack if your opponent is targeting someone else or if someone else is targeting your opponent (even at range). That is NOT how it is supposed to work.

Rogue are just overpowered in this setting, they usually have to use some feats/talent for the finesse and other. Now they can Two Weapon Fighting at level 1, with an extra +1d6 damage to all attacks.

This is a severe balance issue !!!

This is the unchained rogue. (Free weapon finesse etc)
The easiness to do sneak attack is sure an issue of the videogame.

Barbarian here are also unchained version. (I don't remember if more)

The normal rogue in my Kingmaker PnP asked me to change to a warrior as he felt useless. Unchained has more power and can do more things.

Rogues are actually not supposed to be damage dealers - they're skill-focused characters. This insistence on damage-dealing rogues is coming from WoW players.

Wizards laugh at puny martial classes.

Let the rogue be good for once, he's earned it.

God the community is toxic.

Against non-precision damage immune enemies rogues are supposed to be nasty. Think spell casters and other 'soft' targets.

Secondly they used the Rogue unchained source mateiral as someone pointed out.

Third, its a single player game. ~_~;

I agree

There are still elementals, ghosts or oozes immunes to sneak attack, or monsters with such a high AC that only a warrior with full BAB and fighter feats will hit with a good % of attack.

It's actually funny... Rogues are the real tanks because they punish people for targeting things other than them. Man these designers ♥♥♥♥♥♥ it up.

Remove weapon finesse, nerf sneak attack.

Then why does every iteration of the D&D Thief/Rogue have Backstab/Sneak Attack?

Also WoW came out 4 whole years after D&D 3.0, when Sneak Attack damage started to get really high and useful for combat purposes. WoW just copied and flanderized.

Yeah, all that money wasted building A-bombs to drop on the Japanese when we could have just dropped a sneaky man with a knife.

Its Pathfinder, but Unchained Rogue:

The only change is flanking already works if 2 characters attack the same enemy (no requirement of opposing sides). Which you would set up 100% anyway, it just requires more micro and gimps the enemy rogues (since AI would not do the setup)

It is not simply the rogue that is OP but all the builds base on Dex/Cha, and the idea of classes using stat differents from what they were created, druid using cha, paladin using cha, monk using cha, combine with stupids feats like dext for damage and you end up with ridiculous builds where dex/cha base are better for attack, defense, spell, damage...

I'm an old PnP player/master especialy DD, ADD and every new set of rules it's getting worst and worst.

Still i'm having great fun with this game and i thank Owlcat for giving us this rpg.

Aren't paladins the classic CHA guys?

"Dex for damage" feats are weird IMO in that they effectively make STR obsolete aside from encumbrance.

Not necessarily. I don't think any of the dex for damage feats allow you to use 1.5x dex on a two handed weapon, so STR wins in that case.
