Moondisk? whats it for? and do i find any explenation how to use it?

the left and right side of the upstairs have disks with images conforming to sculpture room downstairs. The left side has a moon sculpture and the right a sun, both are facing runes. You need to turn the disc to the same rune the sculptures are facing. i know the moon has a fish looking rune but i forget what the sun has.

Hmm didnt even have time to use it. Found the symbols. and the next room was a end fight and couldnt enter the dungeon after that. So a warning to those who wants to check it out

I would really love to know what they do. I put them in the correct position, but had already cleared the dungeon and didn't notice them do a single thing. I assume they unlock a secret vault, but I dont know where and I had already picked the lock to 2 secret vaults.

I figured it out if you put them in the correct position fish symbol for moon and lightning bolt position for sun then in the sculpture room in the dungeon below a chest appears with a very powerful suit of armor (restricted to good and heavy armor users so only pc really) and some other treasure about 2000 gold or so.

Theres 3 secret rooms. The one with the platemail armor. then if you put both dials so they match the glowing rune on the lower floor, it unlocks a secret room in the same room where the glowing rune is. The last one, is described in the part 2 of the commanders journal: The moon has to face the skyforge (north) and the sun has to face the entrance of the keep (west). this unlocks a secret door where the kobold artist is, with some nice loot in it (among it a +1 frost greatsword)

Thanks for the tip - are you sure the kobold artist room requires the dials? Just needs perception to find the secret switch doesn't it?

Actually I checked it out and you can find the other two with just perception it just has to be very high.

how to access the one with the glowing rune?

For the sake of trivia the runes look like they're based on the futhark so the "fish" rune would be othala and the "lightning" rune would be sowilo

Where is the kobold artists room located? Got first 2 done easily, but this one is eluding me. Might be I already accidentally found it earlier...

That's just to the right of the kobold there is a button that will reveal a room just to the east of him the room itself also has a findable treasure.

That's nice and all, but the kobold one just does not work for me. Does the button still require a perception check after setting the dials correctly?
So frustrating when you find the book puzzle on your own but have to come back to a message board because the answer does nothing

Edit: the secret button still requires a perception check, aparently Olivia does not posses eyes.
