How to stop Ancient Curse

I need an advice how to procced with this quest. I got it and I got a timer, so any help where to go what to do would be great.

Have you visited the Bald Hilltop? Ancient curse is the quest that pops up from time to time and sends various unpleasant creatures to your lands through the portal on Bald Hilltop. You cannot close the portal forever, but you can meet and defeat the invading creatures. Later in the game you'll find the actual reason the Curse is there (but it happens in last chapters).

Still no fix for this game breaking hidden requirement in the main story quest "Ancient Curse" causing "Eight-Legged Plague" to continually repeat every 2 days after clearing Bald Hilltop during the event.

Step 2 and 3 are the worst hidden requirements in a video game that I have ever come across.

• Did step 1, there was 0 indication of step 2 and 3 ingame.
  
• Cleared Bald Hilltop
  
• Every 2 days Eight-Legged Plague hits, kept exploring to try figure out why or if I missed something because nothing triggered on Bald Hilltop.
  
• Cannot get back into the kingdom zone to bring up the menu before the event triggers again or the troll event triggering ending my kingdom.

Now the only option I have is to restart the whole game; This game breaking hidden requirement has ruined the game for me.

Fun fact when your kingdom dies while your on the map screen the UI just becomes greyed and disabled; You can scroll around the map but cannot ineract with anything, you cannot even press escape to bring up the main menu to reload, you have to ALT + F4 and start the game up again.

You have to do a 1 day mission in the kingdom management and go to bald hilltop in order to prevent the damage to your klngdom. This is a bit rough, cause they don't explain this, make sure your in the capital within the 15 day period before the hilltop curse goes into effect, or it can rapidly become a kingdom death.

I didnt have to do a 1 Day mission, about 14 days bevor time is up ... a new quest stept is markt "go to the bald hilltop"
If you go there you can fight the monsters and the first "invasion" is stopt

but realy its only a short popup, it should be markt as essential
i missed it first time and have to reload an old save game ...
i realy try to love the game but this mission design for the curse is fuc** up
lost about 10 hours gameplay to bugs and this pease of a sh*t mission

I'm looking at it right now in my finished events.

it IS marked as essential. it has a giant purple exclamation mark on it.
