Is there a way to reduce loading times?
Hi, I am really impatient and want to know if there is any way to reduce loading times of maps.
Is there a way to keep the travel map in the RAM to insta switch back to it?
most of the encounter are like 30 seconds loading screen.. 20 seconds killing a single goblin.. 30 seconds loading screen...

For everyone saying install on SSD.. i am. and i got 32GB RAM and 11GB VRAM.
That should not be the issue.

Thx in advance for the advice

I get same load times using 3 GBps NVMe (970 Pro). Looks like the load times are slowed by some other means then raw IO & TP.

I think this wont improve much.
Unity has loading time issues.
In addition looking at the savegame aotugenerated XML world builder. It loads a lot of assets every time a load screen happens. Very many very small files so it is probably bottlnecked by Unity itself and not your system..... Just the amount of files it can handel at once.

some ppl state they have loading times from 5-10 seconds...
with worse pc's than mine...
the only bottleneck i can see is my opperationg system (win7 64bit)
(6Core i7, 32GB RAM, GTX 1080 TI)
don't know when i will upgrade to win10 because of the hassle to go through until my system is personalised again

I wonder why loading time is so long. I played PoE and never had any problem with loading time. Divinity 2 too. But here loading time is killing my PC.

OP, you could try Process Lasso (A Task Manager Replacement) and give the game Highest Priority. It won't fix anything but depending on your OS and background programs, it could shave off a few seconds. You tend to see better results if your PC is just barely meeting specs of some games, and it also is better with older OS, but I use it regularly anyway for the balance it brings with Win 8.1.

It's just the coding for how games are loaded. Lots of unity games end up getting mods where people optimize the loading code (make it multithreaded etc), so I guess we just need to wait and hope someone takes the time to code up a more optimized loading mod.

I'm a lazy saver.. and rage when i have to redo 20 minutes because i died .. or the game crashed and i didn't save...
So disabling auto save is no option for me.
