which envoy to pick and 500 resources or not?
two questions. does it matter which envoy you pick or is it jsut for flavor text? and shoudl I take the 500 resources carts or not?

i thought the swordlords would help build your cpaitla not demand a contract. so are these 500 extras with that pay back msut do business with restov or a must to just start your capital?

For what it's worth:

The Orc Dude is somewhat on the lawful side, Lander is more chaotic Neutral from what I see from his reactions to certain events. The Lady I have no idea. I am pretty sure down the road everyone will have some complications and their own agenda, I have yet to reach those points though.

When you take the 500 supplies you pay 25% more for buildings I think until the 500 are payed off. I did not take the 500 supplies don't know if it pays off in the end or not.

The Envoy you pick depends on your play type, The Orc id Good, The guy is Neutral and the Older woman is Evil. Thats my understanding. Each gives bonuses, but couldnt tell you what they all are.

You get shafted in the long run if you take his help and the 500 BP, the builders guild charge 25% for buildings

Yeah don't take the free 500 BP, there's a merchant in your hometown that sells 25,000 BP for 80 gold each...so while that free 500 BP is the equivilent to a "free" 40,000 gold, it's not worth it considering the price hikes later on. I'm not even sure it's worth buying BP yet, you get more each week and its growth is pretty exponential over time, plus there are plenty of weeks to pass in this game too.

As for the Envoy, I chose Lander or whatever his name is. He seems the ideal choice when you don't want to pick sides, plus being neutral means he's more tolerant to your random bursts of charity or wrath, too. Can't speak for the other envoys, but he seems pretty laid back and relaxed even when I directly oppose what he suggests.

Yeaaaaaaaah, 500 bp thing is trap by the character, you are stuck forever with overpriced buildings. In retrospect, that is reason why you should make exlusive deals with someone who can control the prices :P

So, where is that merchant?

The merchant sending BP is in the square of the capital. It's the first merchant your capital hosted.

By the way, the 25% debuff from the 500 BP doesn't last forever tho. At some point you'll have an event removing this debuff where you can send your treasurer, paying like 50-150 BP and taking 1 or 2 weeks to complete.
