[Mod 1.9] Adding 377+ New High Quality Portraits

Hi,

I just made a collection of high quality portraits from various artist at deviantart that i follow, for my playtrough. This is now also on the Nexus called "Heroes of Stolen Lands".

Keep in mind those are the medium pictures, every portrait has 3 sizes with different framings. Example: https://imgur.com/a/D808gL9

Installation

Extract the zip file with the "Portraits" folder into the following path:
In Windows use the Hotkey: "Win+R" copy and paste:

%userprofile%\AppData\LocalLow\Owlcat Games\Pathfinder Kingmaker\

If you already use custom portraits you will have an "portraits" folder. You can also manually collect the portraits you want to install, just drag&drop them into your portrait folder.

How to use

Use the little "custom portraits" icon under the offical portraits in the character creation.

Keep in Mind:
Everytime you go to the custom portraits ingame, it creates a default folder with a random number. Everytime you click on the "+" icon at the end of the navigation you create a new default folder.

Enjoy! Maybe i will update this later on, but you can do this by yourself!

I got permission from most artist to use the artwork for this "mod" but not from all. If you want an portrait to be removed because of the copyright, just tell me and i will do so.

I've just downloaded the mod (have the game on GOG rather than Steam) and upon attempting to unpack the file, Windows Defender notifies me that doing so may be harmful to my computer (using Windows 10).

Has anyone else gotten such a notice? Went through several pages of this thread but didn't notice any other comments about it.

Is there a way to become the new Portraits in the Startmenu, if i create a New Char?

It takes to much time to click through all Folders and watch them individually. Or an Overview with Numbers where to find them would be helpful.

Absolutely true. I lament the lack of official portraits.
Want to play a dwarven mage? too bad. none for you in the official launch. What about a halfling fighter? nope.
I understand it would be semi-difficult for them to include 1 for each possible base game combination; 13 classes, 8 races, 2 genders... that's a lot of portraits. 208 to be precise, with another collection for any class or race they add. With Tiefling and Kinetecist, the total jumps to 252 poortraits. almost 50 more.

But, as this very mod shows, it is possible.

Yes. I have mine as all the folders for each separate portrait just sitting in the "portraits" folder (should be a bunch of folders with numbers for names). There should be a small button to click on under the normal portaits that will take you to the custom portraits.

Only issue I've had with them is the shear number of them. Makes it hard to select one as you can only go through them one at a time in game and if you want a specific one its easier (but still kinda tedious) to go through the folders, find the one you want and temporarily remove all the other ones and refresh ingame to select the one you want.

I got it working after I put in a Portraits folder and then sorted out how to find them. Little button, indeed!
