You kill him...with great difficulty. Also electricity resistance. And buffs. Acid and fire vials can help too! Tank him with Valerie and flank him with Amiri on rage, maybe that'll help too!
It's not worth it though. At least, assuming what he dropped isn't just vendor trash / rare / one of a kind anyway.
Supposedly this guy is a demilich so channeling positive energy might be able to hurt him as well
But really you aren't supposed to be able to beat him so early on so I think you may be wasting your time
Do you have an earlier save you can load to? I hope you aren't on ironman mode or anything
First time I clicked on the campsite by accident while trying to loot the dead guys. shrug lol
I sorta figured the guys got splattered because they picked an unfortunate time to be chilling out when a war started. It's just...normally you'd think there'd be more warning environmentally lol. Not just some camp right there a stones throw away from the tree. If it was in some secluded glade crackling with electricity or covered in fog maybe, but it looked like your average friendly roadside camp. Nothing sinister, no reason for a night immortal thunderskull to be lurking nearby etc.
The exception proves the rule! I'm glad he's "dead" or whatever.
The way I've defeated them is knowing there will be a fight with him, and he's a massive prick, I've took Regongar and well, myself. My character is a cleric, so you can bring Tristian for that job if you need to.
So the trick is - you position Tristian as far away from party as possible and stuff all his level 1 slots with Remove Fear.
Regongar casts True Strike on himself, then he uses touch attack spells, obviously not shocking grasp, on that thing.Rest are just in there, hoping to get a critteroni on thing. Tristian dispells fear from them all.
That's pretty much it. He gives a diamond when defeated. Can sell it or store for later, it will be needed for Ressurects
I couldn't figure it out either. His AC is so absurdly high you can only make contact on a natural 20. Like someone else, I clicked the rest area, discovered this fight, then reloaded and said forget it.
Someone else mentioned alchemical fire and other bomb like devices, but I personally can't make them connect without hitting my party ("I don't think this is how this spell is used!").
