How is HP calculated?
My main character is a human fighter. He has 14 CON.
By Pathfinder rules, if recieving max HP you'd start with 12 HP and at level 2, you'd have 24 HP.
However I started with 13 and at level 2 I had 22. Any solid answer? BG and NWN eventually gave you options for max HP, is the roll random or a fixed average?

At level 1 you get max hp which includes a favored class bonus of 1 hp so 13 hp.

At level 2 you get half of a d10 plus 1 (or 6) +2 (con) +1(fc) for 9 hp.

Ah, so it is an average, kinda. Unsure how I feel about that, but thank you!

On the bright side, they are apparently rounding the fraction up?

I can live with the average hp, but I'd rather have the standard rules variable preferred class bonus instead of the +1 hp.

kinda glad they are taking the average, makes it easier to plan for character building than rolling for it after each level like you can in the table top

It's how it works in Pathfinder Society, and how I rule the HP in my own Campaigns. So I'm really happy with that rather than random rolls where you could end up pretty bad. I've seen fighters with less hp than wizards due to rolling HP.
