If you straight up charge the place with her, he kills her before the fight xD
The owlbear comes out of the pen, but you have to actually be able to see the doors open for it to happen, everyone else shows up a little bit after the fight starts.
I'm already well past this (I let them all come at once and mowed down). Thread about whether there are alternatives (as suggested in OP and following 2 posts)
At this point, I am low health, low pots, next to nothing left on any abilities and unable to actually rest, right? I walk outside and the owlbear is between the gate and I, lots of mobs left throughout the camp as well.
Am I screwed here? Obviously the owlbear is a god among mortals, so I know I can't kill it, and I struggle(usually fail) to fight the rest of the mobs while trying to find another way out. Should I just start over? I was really hoping to take the straight forward LG approach but idk anymore lol.
1. Kill his Generals. On the far right side, inside the fort, you can take down two of his Generals before the fight starts (Dovan From Nisroch and Auchs). They will try to cut a deal with you telling you about a stash (which I believe is Evil aligned) Good characters should just ignore it and get rid of them. (the stash is not worth it, his gear is much better)
2. Take down the remaining Bandits. You did right by sneaking in and turning his right hand man and the Owl Bear. But if you go around (not getting close to where the Stag Lord is) you can pick of each bandit group carefully without alerting the other bandits. Don't let any escape or the last one alive will run to the alarm bell alerting the Stag Lord.
3. Poison his wine back at the cache (makes the fight a lot easier). But also talk to Kressle (if you convinced her to give up Svetlana's Ring.) she will be planning to raid the camp with her fellow bandits. If you are nice to her (Good aligned) you can convince her to wait for your lead, she and her bandits will then help you when you fight the Stag Lord.
When the fight is over, don't forget to go inside the building and take down Nugrah. Who is the insane Druid who caused the fog and is the Stag Lords father
