The skeletal champions in Sycamore Depths
Is anyone else just getting completely wrecked by those guys, again and again and again?

I beat the ♥♥♥♥ out of them, I also farmed for a paladin, and had a harrim so...maybe that helped.

What does that mean?

And my PC is a paladin, and I do have Harrim. But he's the only one who can hurt them in any real way.

If you grind levels before getting there, it's probably easy.. I got there at level 3, 10 retries in, I'm getting nowhere. Even with Critical hits turned to weak, I'm still taking upwards of 25 damage on some hits. I had to turn it to 0.2 damage and no critical hits to win, and the barbarian still went down.

Skeletons are usually a bit tougher than the surrounding enemies because there are so much more resources for killing them. I waited until I cleared the bottom level to go back and kill those skeletons.

That encounter is solved the same way as most early encounters are. Cast grease in chokepoint, stand on the edge to prevent them from moving further and murder yourself some skeletons. Nothing fancy.

Using bludgeoning weapons helps, because they ignore their damage reduction.

Or just brute force everything like I do and send Valerie in to contain the toughest of them and then have Amiri and Regongar tackle enother while the MC, also a Magus, wails on another. Harrim in the background healing to with Jaethal helps out where needed.

This. Grease is your biggest friend vs. undead as they fall prone to it constantly. They have really bad reflex saves and Grease is a great way to get through many undead encounters.

I just have tristian nuke them with channel energy, they are not a challenge with correct party placement and a competent cleric

or use summoned minions to soak damage
2nd rank folk can use reach weapons, etc

also, E11, paladins get a 1st level spell, thus they get it when they are level 4, that adds iirc +2 AC/saves vs undead for a very long time, 10mins/level
that is a HUGE boost when fighting them :)

As others note, skeletons = use blunt weapons.

also remember debuffs!
glitterdust = blindness that can affect almost any creature, and when blind miss 50% of the time BEFORE they even allowed to make an attack roll
bit tricky to use in that small area, but do-able
maybe also one of the new "pit" spells may take one of 'em out of the fight for a bit?
:)
