Last Azlanti Mode -- Both save restricted and hardcore mode?

So, I'm kind of confused, I got a game over (fairly early, 6 hours in), which I'd avoided by just loading when I was about to hit a game over anyway. My game was in Last Azlanti Mode, because I liked the idea of being forced to live with my consequences... But then I couldn't load my game. Is it supposed to delete my save (I couldn't load either from the "Game over, load game?" screen or the main menu -- the option was greyed out) and the description just didn't mention it, or was it a bug?

Surprisingly, I'm not mad; I just want to know what killed my save.

Reading the description of that mode it shouldn't delete your save. I have read in reviews and other posts here that there is a bug with saves being deleted and it sounds like that happened :(

Hm. That is unfortunate, but oh well. I wonder if there's a way to restore it.

If you are lucky, and have Steam Colud saves enabled, you might be able to restore it.

Go into you Steam folder -> userdata and sort the numbered folders in there by date modified. The one that has most recently been modified should have a folder named 640820 in it. Inside you'll find a folder called remote, which contains your Steam Cloud save for the game. The ones for Azlanti have names like Auto_1.zks

Copy your save into %systemdrive%\users\%username%\
AppData\LocalLow\Owlcat Games\Pathfinder Kingmaker\Saved Games , restart the game, and it should hopefully work.
